Simplifying the Complex: FADE UP: We’re in a conference room in a nondescript office park. After two hours of well-researched questions and polite conversation I still have no idea what my client’s chief engineer is talking about. So I get on my knees and I beg him, yep, beg him, to explain it again. Finally, he cracks. And when he does, his catharsis makes everything clear. Now everyone in the room understands. I’ve found my hook. And WE are off and running.
CUT TO: Several years later, the messaging we created helped this little company sell for 600 Million dollars. From software to hardware I just love helping tech start-ups get started and big brands grow even bigger.
Biggest Lesson Learned: Clients want to see your passion. Psychiatrist, cheerleader, skeptic—do whatever it takes to turn on your light bulbs and prove that you care.
